Artrageous Quilters
is an Eastern North Carolina art quilt group. The group, initiated by Katherine McNeese, MD, was formed on Saturday, August 13, 2005. The purpose of Artrageous Quilters is to share and promote interest and involvement in appreciating, designing, constructing and exhibiting original art quilts through meetings, hands-on learning, and field trips. Membership is open to Eastern North Carolina quilters and artists. Our members are either new or experienced quilt or fiber artists, or traditional quilters wanting to make the transition to art quilts. We realize that due to distance, everyone may not be able to participate in all our events, but members are welcome whenever they can join us. There are no membership fees and we are sharing lots of useful information in our Yahoo Group. Louise Janelle, who was associated with the Rocky Mount Arts Center before she retired is the member who got our Yahoo Group up and running.
