The music of the Carolinas (and Appalachia in general) stems from the marriage of the Irish fiddle and the African banjo, which first met in the South before the revolution. The Tan & Sober Gentlemen aim to bring these traditions full circle -- blending Irish tunes, ballads, and pub songs with the Appalachian old-time and bluegrass music they grew up on, creating a ruckus known affectionately as "Irish-American hillbilly music".

Blending folk, rock, and Americana with a sharp sense of humor, The Tan & Sober Gentlemen deliver a high-energy performance that is as entertaining as it is musically impressive. Known for their rich harmonies, driving rhythms, and clever songwriting, the band creates a sound that is both timeless and fresh.

Whether performing original songs or putting their own spin on familiar tunes, The Tan & Sober Gentlemen bring an infectious energy to the stage that keeps audiences engaged from start to finish.
