The Itsy-Bitsy Artist Playgroup

The Itsy-Bitsy Artist Playgroup is a 1-hour, all-inclusive parent-child workshop facilitated by Keri Graven, Executive Director of Arc of Wilson. This workshop invites parents to bring their children aged 0-4 years to experience the joy of creating art together. The Itsy Bitsy Artist Playgroup offers a fun and engaging opportunity for young children and their caregivers to explore their creativity through a variety of artistic activities. Participants can look forward to a nurturing environment that encourages self-expression and the development of fine motor skills.

Caregivers and children will explore hands-on activities, themed crafts, and playful learning opportunities perfect for curious minds and busy hands. October’s session will feature autumn-inspired projects and sensory play, including a Halloween Spaghetti Sensory Bowl—a wiggly, colorful, and delightfully messy experience your child will love – and Salt and Watercolor Pumpkins.

Step into a welcoming and inspiring environment designed for creative autumn exploration! In this hands-on class, children are invited to squish and shape homemade salt dough, preparing for a lively session full of sensory fun.

Kids will have the chance to create their own turkeys and discover the brilliant colors and textures of fall leaves, using a variety of materials for open-ended play and crafting. The space will also feature a pumpkin sensory bag station, providing opportunities to touch, squeeze, and investigate fall-themed ingredients.

Join us for a one-hour winter wonderland craft class, perfect for children ages 0–6 and their caregivers!

Participants will explore a coconut flake sensory bin—creating edible “snow” for tactile fun—and enjoy holiday-themed activities like a pom-pom push, tracing and decorating gingerbread people, and building graham cracker gingerbread houses. Throughout the session, children will celebrate the holidays while developing fine motor skills, sparking creativity, and making festive memories in a cozy, hands-on environment.

In this class, children will create and decorate their very own snowmen, celebrating the winter season. To keep cozy, they will also paint and personalize their own paper hats using watercolors, adding a colorful touch to their winter weather creations.

This class includes an igloo sensory bin where children can engage in building and exploring with "ice" materials.
