About the Play

Middle school. It’s. The. Worst. Greg Heffley may be in constant survival mode, but he is determined that his first middle-schooler year won’t leave him at the bottom of the popularity pool. That can be his oddball neighbor, Fregley. Or maybe even Greg’s BFF, Rowley Jefferson. But it will not be Greg…no way. From the popular series of cartoon diaries, Jeff Kinney’s characters take the stage in this musical adaptation. So grab a hall pass and join the adventure dodging bullies, big brother, and the dreaded Cheese Touch.. This production will be directed by Seth Penwell with musical direction by Caroline Baxter.

Auditions will be held at the Edna Boykin Cultural Center, 108 Nash Street NE, Wilson, NC 27893.
