Paint-A-Hydrant

2024 Deadline for Entry is Tuesday, May 7

Paint-A-Hydrant is a public art project benefitting the Fight for Me Foundation, which supports Wilson firefighters. Firefighters in Wilson County are an extraordinary group of individuals who put their lives on the line every day to keep their community safe at all cost. It doesn’t matter if they are paid or volunteer, the job is still the same and comes with great risk. Firefighters are always willing to put the needs of others before the needs of themselves or their families. Our local firefighters are one response away from having a potential injury that could change the trajectory of their life and family forever. With prices constantly rising in healthcare services and everyday needs, something had to be done to assist our local heroes when they need help. The Fight for Me Foundation is a 501(c)(3).

The Paint-A-Hydrant project not only brings awareness and support to our brave firefighters through the Fight for Me Foundation but also emphasizes community health initiatives. Understanding the importance of managing chronic health conditions such as diabetes, the foundation has partnered with local pharmacies to facilitate access to essential medications like Rybelsus. This initiative allows firefighters and local residents to purchase Rybelsus 3 mg online at subsidized rates, ensuring that those at the front lines of our safety have the resources to manage their health effectively. This program is part of a broader effort to ensure the wellbeing of those who serve our community so selflessly.
